Balancing work and motherhood is no easy feat. Between juggling career demands, family responsibilities, and the constant pressure to “do it all,” it can feel impossible to find harmony. As a hairstylist, content creator, and mom, I know this struggle all too well. In this post, I’m opening up about my challenges with work-life balance and sharing the steps I’m taking to create more peace and presence in my daily life.

The Struggle to Relax:
If I’m being honest, I’ve never been good at relaxing. Even during downtime, I feel the need to be productive—whether that’s cleaning the house, editing content, or scheduling clients. I’m constantly in “go” mode, and while that might seem like a good thing, it often leaves me feeling overwhelmed and burnt out.

What I’m Doing to Find Balance:

Prioritizing Presence: I’ve realized the importance of being fully present in whatever I’m doing—whether it’s work, family time, or even rest. When I focus on one thing at a time, I feel more accomplished and less scattered.
Setting Boundaries: I’m learning to create clear work hours and stick to them. When the workday ends, I put my phone and laptop away so I can fully enjoy time with my kids.
Letting Go of Perfection: The house doesn’t always need to be spotless, and it’s okay to say no to extra work. Learning to let go has been a game-changer.
Scheduling “Me Time”: Self-care isn’t selfish. Whether it’s a workout, a coffee break, or 15 minutes to read, I’m prioritizing time to recharge.
