Life Lately: New Job, Baby #4, and Finding My Way Back
Whew. Where do I even start? The past couple of months have been a whirlwind, and honestly, I’ve barely had time to breathe, let alone sit down and create personal content. So here’s a little life update to catch you up on where I’m at right now.
After 10 years behind the chair as a hairstylist, I officially stepped away from doing hair. It’s still crazy to even type that because being in the salon was such a huge part of my life. But my body was telling me it was time, and I knew deep down I was ready for something new. Do I miss it sometimes? Absolutely. But the truth is, it’s hard on the body, and this next chapter feels right for me.
Make it stand out
Now, I’m the social media manager and retail coordinator for 604, and it’s wild because I always dreamed of social media being a big part of my income. And it finally manifested. Not just for my own platforms, but for all five 604 locations. Between scheduling posts, creating content, and managing retail, it’s definitely been a full-time adventure. I’ve learned so much, but it’s also stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.
On top of all that, I’m 20 weeks pregnant with our fourth baby 🤍 We’re having a girl! It feels so perfect—two boys and two girls. My heart feels so full. The kids are excited, and even though pregnancy has its challenges (hi, out of breath tying my shoes already 😅), I feel so grateful.
Make it stand out
With everything going on, my personal content—the thing that has always been my passion—took a back seat. I started to feel distant from my own personal brand, which honestly made me kind of sad. Creating content for myself has always been my creative outlet, my happy place, the thing that made me feel like me. That’s why I decided to restart my blog. Not for pressure, not to “perfectly monetize” it, but to have a space to let my creative juices flow again and to connect with other moms who just get it.
Life has been crazy, but I know this blog will help me stay grounded. And maybe along the way, it’ll remind me—and you—that even in the busiest seasons, it’s okay to carve out space for what lights you up.
So here’s to new chapters, creative outlets, and sharing this perfectly imperfect journey together. Thanks for being here 🤍
